Description: For this project we were given the task of taking a household item, breaking it down, and creating a detailed report on how it works and how we can make it better. Our group chose to focus on a household toaster. We decided as a group that the best way to go about this process was to identify the different parts and split them up accordingly. The parts that we chose to identify were the heating assembly, slider assembly, toasting assembly, and timer assembly. Each team member was responsible for making a detailed blueprint and materials list of their assembly item. After all individual work was completed we came together to share our discoveries and put them into a presentation and report for the class.

Reflection
This project proved to be testing and time difficult. However, in the end I feel like I learned a lot about what processes work and which don´t when attempting to reverse engineer something. Something that I found very interesting was how each assembly worked with each other. Looking from the exterior in I didnt think their would be so many different and elaborate mechanism for something I once thought to be simple. A group member and I were absent for a number of days and the other two group members took it upon themselves to help out when we didnt think we would finish on time. Through this process I learned a lot about myself. I learned that it is important to have a planned out procedure and timeline after failing to do so in this project. I also learned that I have the ability to lead in discussions and planning. I hope to improve my communication skills with team members to improve the quality of everyone´s work. I also hope to improve on my participation in projects going on. A peak in this process was in the beginning when all of the group was motivated and worked well together. A pit in this project was when a group member and I were absent for a number of days for personal reasons and failed to communicate to the other group members. All in all, this project tested my skills and gave me a better understanding of how common objects work and look under their surface.
